This was taken last week in the evening when it started to snow.
A view off our front porch, the sun was setting, it was snowing and the snow looked pink.
The next morning we decided to go to Cody and I snapped a few pictures while he was driving.
And here he is spray painting the final color called Timeless Ivory.
Every room is that color except for the bathroom which is a little more white, called Italian Lace by Valspar.
The entire place is painted and we have moved in.
We're using hot plates to cook on and the bathroom sink to wash dishes.
I have a complete bathroom but it still needs a few minor details.
I stained the interior doors today, we used 6 panel solid pine doors in keeping with the pine trim to be done next year along with continuing the plywood plank floor which I totally LOVE! I can hardly wait to see the floors finished.
We plan to install kitchen cabinets next year along with my vintage stove, refrigerator and we have an authentic old farm house sink that was in the old barn when we bought the place.
My biggest decision now? What do I decide on for cabinets???
Do I go with white and stay with the vintage 40's/50's look of the stove and fridge or do I go rustic and use something like Hickory?
I will have the plywood plank floor in the kitchen.
Another idea was to buy unfinished but they are oak and sort of plain...I like oak only it doesn't seem to fit in here but I was thinking I could have the husband makes me several branding irons and burn some brands into the wood?
Any ideas?

Have you ever seen the photos on Pinterest that have buffets or Hoosier cabinets for the entire kitchen? Love that look as it seems more in line with prairie pioneer style, would love it for myself! So glad y'all have made so much progress this year, I know you are pleased!! Enjoy your planning, I know that is half the fun!! :)
It is so beautiful there! I know it must be so satisfying to be getting the work done and thinking about finishing touches!

Beautiful photos, I must come and see that country someday...gorgeous! I can just imagine how excited you are now that things are coming along. Yes, I love the idea of old kitchen pieces used as counter tops and storage.
