Cattle Drive

We heard some noise and looked out to this view. Just a small herd. But the cowboys were having a good time. Just when they got near, a couple guys held back and then took off in a race to see who's horse was the fastest. The sun had already set.

Ah....Brings back such memories. My family still moves their cattle to the South Range in the summer, up over a steep cattle trail. I don't ride anymore, but I'll position myself either at the top of the trail, or the bottom to take photos. Nice picture! If I can find my cattle drive pics, I'll post one someday.

Ah, the country life is a great one. So much work and so much talent is required. It takes a lot to run a ranch or farm well. Loved the photo and the memories it triggered.
